Here are a few tips for making your house stand out in the fall.

Believe it or not, summer is almost over. School has started, local apple harvests or festivals are on the calendar, and the weather should be mild for the coming months. So today I wanted to discuss some tips for selling your home in the fall season:

  • Consider your curb appeal. Too many fall decorations can hurt your curb appeal, and make sure you keep on top of your leaves.
  • Go easy on the Halloween decorations. Anything with a lot of gore or that’s somewhat scary is risky. You don’t know if the buyer will be amused or frightened, and anything that could put a buyer off is a bad idea.
  • Let the natural light inside. Keep the blinds and curtains open because the light is great this time of year.
  • Emphasize a warm and cozy atmosphere. Buyers make buying decisions on their emotions. So this can help, especially as it starts to cool down outside.
